1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

• "We," "Us," "Our" refers to Prestige Drive, a car rental service operating in Taiwan
• "You," "Renter," "Customer" refers to the individual or entity renting a vehicle
• "Vehicle" means the car, SUV, or other automobile rented from us
• "Rental Period" is the duration from vehicle pickup to return as specified in the rental agreement
• "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions plus any rental contract you sign

2. Acceptance of Terms

By making a reservation, renting a vehicle, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our services.

3. Eligibility Requirements

To rent a vehicle from Prestige Drive, you must:

• Be at least 21 years of age (25 for certain premium vehicles)
• Hold a valid driver's license from your country of residence
• For non-Taiwan licenses, possess an International Driving Permit (IDP) where required
• Provide a valid passport or national ID for identification
• Present a major credit card in your name for the security deposit
• Have held your driver's license for a minimum of one year

4. Reservations and Bookings

4.1 Making a Reservation

Reservations can be made through our website, by phone, or by email. A reservation is confirmed when you receive written confirmation from us.

4.2 Payment

Full payment is due at the time of vehicle pickup unless alternative arrangements have been made. We accept major credit cards. A security deposit will be held on your credit card during the rental period.

4.3 Cancellations and Modifications

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before pickup incur no penalty. Cancellations within 48 hours may result in a charge equivalent to one day's rental. No-shows are charged the full reserved amount.

5. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

5.1 Authorized Drivers

Only you and drivers listed on the rental agreement may operate the vehicle. Additional drivers must meet all eligibility requirements and be approved by us.

5.2 Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

• Use the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Use the vehicle for illegal activities or racing
• Carry more passengers than the vehicle is designed to accommodate
• Transport hazardous materials
• Use the vehicle for commercial purposes without authorization
• Drive the vehicle outside Taiwan without prior written permission
• Allow any unauthorized person to drive the vehicle
• Drive on unpaved roads or areas unsuitable for the vehicle type

5.3 Mileage

Mileage allowances vary by package. Excess mileage charges apply if you exceed the included kilometers. Rates are specified in your rental agreement.

6. Insurance and Liability

6.1 Included Coverage

All rentals include comprehensive collision damage waiver and third-party liability insurance as required by Taiwan law. Coverage details and limits are provided in your rental agreement.

6.2 Renter Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Damage resulting from prohibited uses or violations of these terms
• Loss or damage to the vehicle caused by willful misconduct
• Parking fines, traffic violations, and toll charges incurred during rental
• Theft or loss of vehicle keys

7. Vehicle Pickup and Return

7.1 Pickup Procedures

At pickup, you must present all required documents and complete a vehicle inspection with our staff. You are responsible for noting any existing damage before departing.

7.2 Fuel Policy

Vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel and should be returned with a full tank. If returned without refueling, we will charge the cost of fuel plus a service fee.

7.3 Late Returns

Late returns may incur additional charges. If you need to extend your rental, contact us as soon as possible. Extensions are subject to vehicle availability.

8. Accidents and Breakdowns

In the event of an accident or breakdown:

• Contact our 24/7 support line immediately
• Obtain a police report for accidents involving injury or significant damage
• Do not admit fault or make commitments to third parties
• Complete an incident report with us within 24 hours
• Cooperate fully with insurance claims processes

9. Fees and Charges

Additional fees may apply for:

• Additional drivers
• GPS navigation (if not included in package)
• Child safety seats
• Delivery to locations outside Taipei city limits
• Airport pickup or return
• Excess mileage
• Late returns
• Cleaning fees for excessive dirt or odors

10. Refund Policy

Refunds for early returns are not provided. If you terminate the rental early, you remain responsible for the full rental fee. Refunds may be issued for:

• Mechanical failures preventing vehicle use (at our discretion)
• Our inability to provide the reserved vehicle class
• Cancelled reservations meeting our cancellation policy requirements

11. Personal Property

We are not responsible for personal property left in rental vehicles. Items found will be held for 30 days and may be claimed by contacting us. Unclaimed items will be donated or disposed of.

12. Privacy

Your use of our services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Please review our Privacy Policy for details.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Taiwan law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for your rental
• We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control
• Vehicles are provided "as is" without warranties beyond those stated

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your use of the vehicle, including violations of these terms or applicable laws.

15. Termination

We may terminate the rental and repossess the vehicle without notice if:

• You violate any terms of this agreement
• You provided false information in your rental application
• The vehicle is used for illegal purposes
• You fail to make required payments

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Taiwan. Any disputes arising from your rental or these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Taipei, Taiwan.

We encourage resolving disputes through direct communication before pursuing legal action.

17. Amendments

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with the revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

18. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.
